Equestrian sports require much more than just training. Trust between the rider and the horse is also necessary. This sport has existed since the ancient Olympic Games.
At the 5th Military World Games, there were three events: dressage, jumping, and eventing. In these three events, male and female riders compete together, without distinction by gender.
In dressage, the riders must display control of the horse in specific exercises. In jumping, on the other hand, strength and expertise are required from both the horse and the rider to jump over obstacles on a course. Agility is also needed to complete the course in the least time possible. In eventing, horse and rider are tested on rougher terrain and a longer course.
