A ticket launch ceremony for the 2018 WTA Wuhan Open was held on July 20 at the Horizon Shopping Mall in Hankou. As the Wuhan Open's Promotion Ambassador, 2011 French Open and 2014 Australian Open winner Li Na attended the ceremony and invited tennis fans to watch some great women's tennis and celebrate Mid-Autumn Festival during the tournament.

As a Premier 5 event, this year's Wuhan Open has already received registrations from all the top 50 WTA players including 2018 Australian Open winner Caroline Wozniacki, 2018 French Open winner Simona Halep and 2018 Wimbledon Championships winner Angelique Kerber. The total prize money for the 2018 Wuhan Open will be USD 2.746 million, and 900 WTA points will be awarded.
The 2018 Wuhan Open is set to take place from September 21 to 29 at the Optics Valley International Tennis Center. Tickets are available now at the Wuhan Open official website, www.4008702014.com. Bookings will receive a 30 percent discount in July and 20 percent in August. Students' tickets are half the price of regular tickets. A Public Open Day on September 21 will allow tennis fans to enter the Optics Valley International Tennis Center free of charge. From September 23 to 26, a one-day-pass will cost only RMB 50.
