China took home the final two diving events at the Wuhan Sports Center Natatorium to win 11 out of 12 gold medals in diving at the 7th CISM Military World Games (7th CWG).

In the only diving event in which China missed gold, the women's synchro platform, the home team pulled out and left the honor to the Democratic People's Republic of Korea on Oct. 26.

Oleg KOLODIY and Oleksandr GORSHKOVOZOV (UKR) took silver medal

WANG and XIE left compatriots MA Depeng and PENG JIanfeng 43.26 behind in second place, but the silver medal went to Oleg KOLODIY and Oleksandr GORSHKOVOZOV (UKR), because in the synchro event only one medal per country is awarded.

Italy's Tommaso RINALDI and Gabriele AUBER took bronze

Italy's Tommaso RINALDI and Gabriele AUBER took bronze, edging out Russia, who were contending for the silver medal, but made a mistake in their fifth dive.

"I didn't see it but I heard (from) the judge that the dive wasn't really good. So at that point, we have to do it, we have to go for the medal," RINALDI said.

China also took gold in the team event, in which all the separate events are added up. Germany and Brazil came second and third.

Jackson RONDINELLI (BRA) considered the Brazilian medal a reward for stamina: "We did not win a medal (in a separate event), but we competed in eight competitions at least two times a day, to receive recognition for that is really good."
