Winter break is around the corner. To provide an open, healthy and happy holiday break for the teenagers in Wuhan, Wuhan Sports Bureau and Wuhan Education Bureau will jointly set up a Winter Sports Camp themed "Join the CISM World Games – 2019 Sports Training Winter Camp for Wuhan Teenagers", which will provide free training in football and skating for 3,000 students.

For many years, Wuhan has organized summer camps by way of government purchase to provide free sports training. This year, Wuhan Sports Bureau, in collaboration with Wuhan Education Bureau, launched for the first time a free sports training winter camp for teenagers, which aims to engage more teenagers in sports activities to master sports skills that will benefit them for life. The winter camp will feature 20 locations for football training and 5 locations for skating training over the city. It plans to provide training for 3,000 students aged 6 to 8, of which 2,000 students will receive training in football and 1000 in skating. The training will start on January 23, and students will be assessed after 6 days of training, and Certificates of Completion will be issued to five-star students. An official of Wuhan Sports Bureau said, "We requested the coaches to help the students master the sport skills at the minimum, which is the very aim of the winter camp."

Registration for the training will begin at 9 and 10 o’clock respectively on January 19 at various designated locations. All healthy students of the right age accompanied by their guardians can register by presenting their valid documents as well as those of their guardians (ID cards and student handbooks) and three copies of a recent one-inch photo. Each student can register for one sport only. (Reporter: Ma Mingyu; correspondent: Xiao Hong)
