On Jan. 21, the first day of the Spring Festival travel rush in 2019, Hankou railway station adopted face-recognition ticket checking system to help passengers get into the station more quickly.
Wuhan's three railway stations (Wuchang, Hankou and Wuhan railway stations) are expected be fully equipped with the face-recognition ticket checking machines before the holiday.
Passengers can now get through the check-point within three seconds after their ID cards have been scanned by the machine, and a camera has scanned their faces and verified their personal information.
