The first German Delegation Inspected Environment of CISM World Games in Wuhan

Wuhan Executive Commission(Reporter…Correspondent Wan Jianhui)Germany has become the first member country of International Military Sports Council to inspect environment and supporting facilities of CISM World Games in Wuhan.

On the morning of March 8, Wuhan Executive Commission received German Delegation consisting of 3 officers and 2 embassy staff in China. They learned about the registration process, hotel check-in and the entry of game equipment for CISM World Games in Wuhan with rigorous attitude.

The German Delegation arrived in China on March 7, including Wolfram Henkies, the Chief of Delegation (CoD) , Christian Lutzkendorf, the successor CoD, Mario Oertel, the deputy head, and Claus Slembeck Lt. Col from German Embassy in China, the secondary master sergeant Fang Yang (Chinese name).

In last August, the Wuhan Executive Commission sent an invitation letter to 138 members of International Military Sports Council, welcoming them to visit the environment and supporting facilities in advance.

The German Delegation arrived in Wuhan on, March 7 and began a two-day inspection tour from March 8 in order to learn the preparations for CISM World Games in Wuhan and to visit Athletes’ Village and some competition venues.

On the morning of March 8, the heads of the Executive Commission Departments briefed the German Delegation on the accommodation, transportation, meals, medical care, registration, visual guide of the venue, venues’ layout, news promotion and tourism information.

In the wetland park surrounding Athletes' Village on the shores of Huangjia Lake, Wolfram pointed to the woods by the lake, saying the environment is very pleasant. The German athletes will be surprised for the beautiful scenery when living here, which demonstrated that China attaches importance to the accommodation of athletes.
