Tonight, the banks of the Yangtze River and Han River will be illuminated with colorful lights. At 8 p.m., the opening ceremony of the Yangtze River Light Show will be held at the Wuchang Bridge Tower. At that time, buildings along the 25-kilometer-long riverside will come alive in an animated light show.

During the National Day holiday last year, CCTV showcased the Yangtze River Light Show. The pageant transformed for audiences the Yangtze River into a nocturnal wonderland of lights and glitter. The iconic bridges and cruise ships plying the waters of the Yangtze River were painted with dancing colors and transient images that knew no rest.

Tonight, the upgraded light show will return once again to parade Wuhan's history, culture and ecological landscape before our very eyes.New this year will be the illumination of Tortoise Hill and Snake Hill.The Tortoise Hill TV Tower will also welcome its first animated light and shadow dress up.

Citizens can take a river cruise where they can enjoy a dynamic viewing experience with great visual effects. During the event, the Traffic Management Bureau of Wuhan Municipal Public Security will implement temporary traffic control for some roads. From 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. today, it is prohibited to park on Linjiang Avenue (Peng Liuyang West Road to Zhonghua Road)and Minzhu Road (Linjiang Avenue to Jiefang Road.)
