Martin Gross, a graduate from the Royal Academy of Arts in Britain, recently held a Wuhan-themed exhibition, "Paradox Lake," in K11 Art Village. The paintings came from his two- month observation of Wuhan.

Gross went to East Lake the first day he arrived in Wuhan. He said that the lake was a great source of inspiration for him.

By utilizing abstract painting techniques, Gross demonstrates how the natural scenery of East Lake can coexist with urban science and technology.

The exhibition is part of an artist-in-residence program, jointly run by the K11 Art Foundation and the Royal Academy of Arts in Britain.

It will last through June 10 and is free to all visitors. 【By WU JIE】
