I always retained a notion that "city" means concrete and countless robotic and heartless people. My opinion changed the first day I visited a mountain in Huangpi District.

I never knew a city could have everything at the same time, from nurturing cultural norms to welcoming a foreigner like me who has a different face and complexion.

The people of this city are very special to me and I have started to consider Wuhan my home. The longer I stay here, the less homesick I become.

I often feel alive when an unknown Chinese treats me with a radiant smile, and shows me the way or guides me to a bus stop. I remember the day we went to a mountain and met a Chinese family. They openly accepted me and now, they have a special place in my heart.

I believe neither the beauty of China nor the Chinese people at large have been revealed to the rest of the world. It's our job to let the world know. Long live China. 【By WU JIE】
